Happy New Year, One and All!
Endings and beginnings are one in the same. As the sun sets on one year and rises on another, I encourage you to move through this transition consciously, mindfully. The more conscious we are in our intentions and actions, the more empowered we become and the more fulfilled we feel in our lives.
Here are some questions you can ask yourself to help create this mindful transition. You can ponder them, you can write out the answers if that helps you remember and check in on your progress at a later date. Or if you would like to use this is a meditation platform, I have added breathing techniques (in italics / brackets) to give you a focus and bring the mediation into your body.
What was something I loved about the year 2015? (Breathe in love, exhale gratitude)
What was something I achieved in 2015? (Breathe in satisfaction, exhale gratitude)
What is something I would like to let go of, to leave in 2015 and not carry with me into this year? (Breathe in acceptance, exhale love)
What is one goal I have for 2016? (Breathe in strength, exhale clarity of mind)
How can I be of service to others this year? (Breathe in the suffering of others, exhale love)
What do I need to be at my optimal health? (Breathe in light, exhale peace)
When do I feel the most joy, and what are ways I can cultivate more joy for myself this year? (Breathe in joy, exhale gratitude)
Of course, you can play with these questions and meditations to best suit your needs. Remember, this is your own creation! Enjoy it.
I wish you many blessings and a healthy, peaceful 2016!
