I just gotta say, I am grateful for SO. MUCH. Sometimes I'm overwhelmed by how grateful I am for all there is to be grateful for in my life. Then of course at other times, I forget to appreciate all I've got. When I saw this image about Thanksgiving, I decided to make it my goal to make a conscious effort not only practice gratitude, but to put some of my blessings into action. Here are three things I'm grateful for and how I will actively appreciate them:
1) My sister. Seriously, I won the sister jackpot. This weekend, I am going to tell her this, to make sure she knows I value her relationship in my life.
2) My physical mobility. Not everyone is so lucky. I am going to show up for yoga class and practice gratitude for simply being able to have the freedom to move, the gift of movement - rather than worrying about how well I'm doing a pose.
3) A roof over my head. Again, not everyone is so lucky. I am going to take time to not only give my space an extra cleaning but to ENJOY cleaning - rather than it being another thing on my to-do list, I'll put on some good tunes and enjoy being in and taking care of this space that I live in. I will do something extra to fill it will the energy I want to surround myself with. Perhaps invite others over and share my roof with them.
