Welcome, 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲.
I love seasons. They build in nature's cyclical wisdom as guideposts for a well-balanced life.
The Winter solstice is considered '𝘺𝘪𝘯 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯 𝘺𝘪𝘯' in Chinese Medicine - the most yin time of the year, the day with least hours of daylight.
Take a moment on the Solstice or the days surrounding it to reflect, to be still, to get extra rest.
❄️ In a dimly lit room, get a candle, and a glass or bowl of water, and set them both in front of you.
❄️ Light the candle. This is to remind you of the light that is always inside you. See the light reflect in the bowl of water.
❄️ Sit upright, placing your hands on your lower back. This is the area where our kidneys are. In Chinese Medicine the Kidney system is associated with Winter, and where we can look to gain insight into living in harmony with the season.
❄️ Take 7 deep breaths, breathing into your hands/lower back/kidneys. Feel your lower back expand as you breath.
❄️ Looking at the glass of water, the element associated with this season, take a moment to reflect on:
❄️ What was most nourishing for your body and spirit this year? What was your vital go-to for a recharge? (It could be one or several things that come to mind.)
For me it was:
🕯Earlier mornings, time all to myself (well, plus a cat!) to reflect & write & create
🕯More routine around meal times - eating, approximately the same times each day, in line with the Chinese Medicine Organ System clock, giving my body a more predictable rhythm for optimal digestion
🕯Using astrology as a tool for guiding my spirit through the toughest times, offering perspective and some personal lessons to be gained.
🤚🏽 Make a commitment to yourself: to listen to what your body & spirit need, and do your best to provide. When things are overwhelming, come back to the simple things, and take it moment by moment. When things get dark, trust that they will get lighter.
I'd love to know: What was most nourishing for you?
Wishing you a peaceful Winter Solstice ❄️

𝗙𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗠𝗼𝗼𝗻 𝗘𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗽𝘀𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗚𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶: This Monday Nov 30th
A full moon is like turning up the volume, a heightened energy that can be either creative & energizing or it can be reckless & overwhelming. A full moon eclipse is, well, even more jacked up - ‼️🌖‼️
With Gemini in particular, it might feel like your nervous system has been plugged into a socket, a power surge of energy is completely over-stimulating or anxiety provoking. Gemini keeps things head-y. Your hair might feel your hair standing on end 🤯
An eclipse can also bring up a sudden letting go, especially with a full moon eclipse. It can be a powerful release, if we surrender to it - that is if we can let go of resistance to what we are called to let go of.
It's the first of a few Gemini/Sagittarius axis eclipses next year, so it also sets the stage for themes in your life that may play out over the next 6 months.
A few tips:
#1: 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱. Be kind in your thoughts, especially the narratives you have about yourself.
#2: It will be extra important to 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝘀𝗹𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗵𝘆𝗴𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗲 with this one: No screen time before bed. If you usually give yourself 30min, double it. If you usually need an hour of unwinding, take two.
#3: Calming 𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗶𝗹𝘀 can also help, as Gemini rules the lungs (which in Chinese Medicine controls our smell). Scents like lavender, camomile, and pachouli.
#4: 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝘁. Especially before bed. Use oil to support the nervous system. (Bonus: you can combine a few drops of essential oils in the carrier oil for the massage. A 2-for-1!)
#5: 𝗔𝗰𝘂𝗽𝘂𝗻𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲. I'd be remiss not to mention this one here, as easing the nervous system is one of the things acupuncture does best!
𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘦𝘭𝘴𝘦 𝘥𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘰 𝘵𝘰 𝘨𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥?
Sending y'all some love for this one. #BeKind and #MindYourMind
𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝘆 𝗔𝗙 𝗣𝘂𝗺𝗽𝗸𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗶𝗲 🥧
So healthy it doesn’t have to be Thanksgiving to eat it. (And it also makes a great breakfast 😋)
My dad has a sweet tooth and I made this for my him when he was recovering from surgery. He didn’t even notice it’s:
𝗚𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗻-𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲, 𝗦𝘂𝗴𝗮𝗿-𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲, 𝗗𝗮𝗶𝗿𝘆-𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲, 𝗘𝗴𝗴-𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲, 𝗜𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁-𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲! (jk on that last one, just seeing if you were paying attention 😉)
Instead, this recipe is:
𝘗𝘶𝘮𝘱𝘬𝘪𝘯-𝘧𝘶𝘭𝘭, 𝘧𝘭𝘢𝘷𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘧𝘶𝘭, 𝘫𝘰𝘺𝘧𝘶𝘭.
Ingredients & Directions for each:
🔸½ cup coconut flour
🔸½ cup almond flour
🔸¼ tsp sea salt
🔸1 dash of stevia (optional)
🔸3 flax eggs (or 2 large eggs) (3 tbsp flax seeds mixed with 6 tbsp water, let sit for 5-10 min until gelatinous)
🔸¼ cup coconut oil, slightly melted
1. Mix altogether, getting rid of any lumps.
2. In an 8 or 9 inch pie plate, press the dough evenly around the bottom & sides.
🔸1 + ½ cans of pumpkin puree (unsweetened)
🔸¼ cup maple syrup
🔸⅓ cup unsweetened plain almond milk
🔸3 tbsp arrowroot powder (or sorghum flour, or cornstarch)
🔸2 flax eggs (2 tbsp ground flax, mixed with 4 tbsp water, let sit for 5-10 min until gelatinous)
🔸2 tsp pumpkin pie spice (cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, clove)
🔸¼ tsp sea salt
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
2. Mix all the filling ingredients in a bowl. Pour the filling into the pie crust.
3. Bake for 60 - 70 min.
4. Let cool before eating

FULL MOON IN ARIES
Tomorrow’s full moon is FULL ON, and I've got two mantras to help you through it - keep reading 🔻!
Aries is a fire sign and rules the head. It's why you might be feeling like this right now: 🤯
Or... partially why. In addition:
Mars, a fiery planet that's retrograde in Aries right now, is squaring Saturn - MEANING: You want to go forward but you're being forced to slow down. It's like trying to hit the gas pedal with the brakes on. 🤦♀️
Inside the body, this stop and go energy inside inside us, from a Chinese medicine standpoint, stagnates the Liver qi - MEANING: it creates pent up frustration & heat which does all sorts of un-fun things to the body: headaches, muscle tension, sore necks, etc.
The energy has to go somewhere, and if it can't go where you want it to go today due to circumstances beyond your control, instead: do some cardio exercise, shout in your pillow, punch the air, cry, or dance like nobody's watching (even if they are) 💃🏼
And now... your MANTRAS:
1) “I check my ego at the gate."
2) “Patience...(aaaaand more patience)."
You may not love these mantras 🤣[I made no promises that this would feel good 😉]
If you're a human, you have an ego. It's not a bad thing. But an ego that's too big or two small isn't in highest service of yourself nor others. Having an honest and balanced relationship with the ego is what we’re especially called to do right now.
And transits aren't all 'bad'. Positive aspects of this one include:
It can spark ACTION. The urge to DO something - to work though some of the themes that have been plaguing you this last month.
And if you're someone who has a hard time speaking up for yourself (ie ego too small) then you might get that surge of energy to speak up or assert your boundaries.
Personally, I always feel so much better during full moons than new moons. With the moon the ruler of my cart, a full moon seems to give me a burst of creative energy that I love.
In the spirit of ego, here's a selfie at the end of an epic week last week where I was feelin' surprisingly perky 🙃 👍🏾
Hang in there this week. We'll get through this.
𝗜𝘁'𝘀 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗲𝘁 𝗴𝗼.
This is the wisdom of the 𝗙𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗘𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗼𝘅 - which arrives tomorrow.
Letting go can be hard. Or beautiful.
Letting go can be about moving towards 𝘳𝘦𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 - a benefic quality of the 𝘔𝘦𝘵𝘢𝘭 𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 and the Fall season, according to Chinese medicine.
𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙡𝙚𝙩 𝙜𝙤 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙀𝙦𝙪𝙞𝙣𝙤𝙭?
It could be material things, Marie Kondo style.
...with the astro transits* over this Equinox, what may become apparent are 𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘭-𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘤𝘭𝘶𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘴. Not just fear, anxiety or melancholy - but rumination therein. Incessant mental chatter. Like spam in our mental 'inbox'!
Not only does this mental clutter prevent us from feeling our best, but in Chinese medicine this rumination, or over-worrying, can damage the Spleen qi and create digestive issues such as bloating and lethargy.
On an external level, our negative self-talk or incessant worries will ultimately impact our behaviour. And with the placement of the planet Mars this month as well, we must be extra mindful in our words & actions.
So: My Equinox challenge to you (I will do it too, of course!) this week:
🍁Witness your mental emotional state with gentleness, self-compassion, and grace.
🍁If similar thoughts, fears, anxieties repeat themselves, write them down. Thank them. And let them go.
🍁If you want to get a little extra woo, write them on a fallen leaf. If there are more than one, collect several leaves and write on each. Then return them to the earth.
Intentions need to be backed up by actions; that's integration ✅ 👍🏽
Another way to integrate is acupuncture. See your acupuncturist (I happen to know one 😉) and say your intentions aloud, and allow the session to work with you. There are some badass acupoints for helping to set these intentions in motion, embodying your journey.
Feel free to DM me at the end of the week, with thoughts or pictures, to let me know how this went for you! I've got your back.

It’s early in the week, but 𝘐’𝘮 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘪𝘵: I’m getting philosophical 🤯!
(I promise the philosophical will turn physical, so stay with me...👇🏽)
I was inspired recently watching a lecture by Edward Neal, an MD & 𝙉𝙚𝙞𝙟𝙞𝙣𝙜 (𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘰𝘰𝘵𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘊𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘦 𝘮𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘯𝘦) Practitioner.
He uses the 𝘕𝘦𝘪𝘫𝘪𝘯𝘨 to explain that 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 - 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲, 𝗶𝗻 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲, 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆.
In our lives, we tend to focus most on the manifestations themselves: Some we enjoy because they are 𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘰𝘶𝘴 (i.e. shelter, love). Some cause us suffering because they are 𝘪𝘯𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘰𝘶𝘴 (i.e: headaches, tumors).
It is my job as a practitioner to witness the physical manifestation, and then to zoom out. 𝗧𝗼 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗼𝗿 𝗯𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝘄𝗿𝘆 and allowed a state of imbalance or disease to occur.
𝗔𝗰𝘂𝗽𝘂𝗻𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: 𝗼𝗳 𝗾𝗶, 𝗯𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗱, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆 𝗳𝗹𝘂𝗶𝗱𝘀.
𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴.
𝘈𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨? 𝘖𝘳 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴 𝘰𝘧𝘧 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘦?
Consider acupuncture to help steer you into harmony & health. If you have questions about acupuncture, let me know - I’m here to help 😊
It’s here: the epic 2020 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙨 𝙧𝙚𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙙𝙚.
The planet of passion is treading backwards in some intense planetary terrain (squaring Saturn + a bunch of other tricky aspects).
Here’s what it means for YOU:
Notice: where have you been feeling a 𝙥𝙪𝙨𝙝 in your life these days? In what realm of your life have you identified 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙨, 𝙙𝙧𝙞𝙫𝙚, potentially 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙛𝙡𝙞𝙘𝙩, and/or a 𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙜𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙜𝙮 𝙩𝙤𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙨? This is likely where Mars is transiting in your chart, and this theme will continue - increasing in focus - over the next 2+ months.
Note: 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗶𝗴𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸.
Please: Don’t rush. (𝘠𝘰𝘶’𝘳𝘦 𝘨𝘰𝘯𝘯𝘢 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭 𝘳𝘶𝘴𝘩𝘦𝘥)
Remember: Don’t panic (𝘺𝘢 𝘮𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘱𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘤 𝘢 𝘭𝘪’𝘭 𝘣𝘪𝘵)
Instead: 𝗜𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗳𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗮 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂. (𝘎𝘶𝘭𝘱! 𝘐 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸. 𝘒𝘦𝘦𝘱 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨!) Shine the light there, and use Saturn’s disciplined energy & wisdom to set systems in place to help you learn and grow successfully in this area. It can also be an issue in the world or society that may be calling you to action. The same applies here.
The harsh truth: This is supposed to take time, despite feeling impatient with it all and perhaps facing obstacles as you go along.
The way through: For the impatient energy, do some physical movement (not reckless but physical) to help release that. This will help you can stay focused on doing the work - sustainably.
The plus side: Though it may feel intense, it’s also exciting. You are getting the growth you need, working towards your Warrior Certification in this area of life. 💪🏽
Lastly: Take some deep breaths. Slow down, remember the long-game approach to sustain the drive to the finish line. Trust the process. Warriors can be gentle on themselves and others. True strength is cultivated by nurturing within.
DM me your birth info if you want to know what area of your chart Mars is transiting. :)

𝗜 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗲𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁.
This year has brought 𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘣𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 to a whole new level. Since returning to Toronto after some family matters this spring, I’ve been lighting a candle every morning.
This 𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘆 𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹 is to bring light to my inner work. It calls in the Fire element, 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘚𝘩𝘦𝘯 (the spirit of the heart in Chinese Medicine) to help me show up the best I can - in myself (where it starts), my work, my relationships, and the world around me.
Being asked (somedays forced!) to recalibrate, reprioritize, dig deep into the dark isn’t easy. But we can bring light to that dark. What the Shen, the Fire element of summer, really wants is 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 & 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯.
𝗥𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗱𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗼𝗿 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗱𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁𝘀. 𝗥𝗮𝘄 𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗳𝘂𝗹.
𝘐𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶’𝘳𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘨𝘨𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘦𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘢𝘳𝘬 - decide that day to 𝘽𝙀 the light in the darkness of someone else. Take a heart-lead action big or small... 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘦𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶 ✨

“𝗟𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿”. It’s a 𝘴𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘰𝘯 in Chinese Medicine commonly associated with the last 2 weeks of summer, but few people know that it was traditionally applied to the last 2 weeks of each season. It’s about 𝘥𝘪𝘨𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯, about 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙨 before the next transition or phase. It benefits us to eat well, supporting our digestive organs - the ‘Spleen’ (pancreas) & Stomach.
Many are preparing for back to school in Sept, so I thought I’d share a recipe that’s great to have on hand if you need a quick breakfast or snack that the whole fam will enjoy - and is super healthy, too!
𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗠𝘂𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗻𝘀
🔸1/3 cup unsweetened cranberries
🔸1/3 cup pumpkin seeds (or sub: sunflower seeds, sesame seeds or coconut flakes - or some of each!)
🔸1 ¼ cup grated zucchini
🔸2 cups grated carrot
🔸4 tsp. grated ginger
🔸1 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
🔸¼ cup maple syrup or honey
🔸¼ cup unsweetened apple sauce
🔸3 eggs or sub 3 flax “eggs”
🔸2 tsp. vanilla extract
🔸½ cup coconut oil melted
🔸¼ cup unsweetened plain nut milk (eg almond or coconut)
🔸1 ½ cups almond flour
🔸½ cup g/f flour (I like oat flour, or chickpea flour for extra protein)
🔸2 tsp. Cinnamon
🔸1 tsp. baking powder
🔸¼ tsp. baking soda
🔸½ tsp. salt
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Line muffin tin(s) with 15 paper liners (or use silicone muffin cups)
3. In a large bowl, combine flours, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, salt. Whisk to combine.
4. In a 2nd large bowl, combine zucchini, carrot, and ginger. Mix in the eggs, coconut oil, maple syrup, apple sauce, cranberries & seeds and vanilla. Mix just until combined.
5. Carefully mix 1/2 of dry ingredients into the wet. Then add nut milk and mix just until combined. Add remaining dry ingredients.
6. Divide the batter into the muffin cups.
7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until knife inserted in the middle comes out clean. After removing from the oven, cool in muffin tin for 3-5 minutes. Then remove muffins from the tin and continue to cool on a cooling rack.

We’re in the thick of summer now. The heat is 𝘏𝘌𝘙𝘌. In Chinese Medicine, it’s the yang within yang season, bringing us abundance of daylight, energy, activity. Some people love it - but if you’ve got too much constitutional heat, it can be a tough season.
In TCM it’s the season of 🔥. At the same time, astrologically we’ve got Mars in Aries - which is also pure 🔥🔥🔥.
Fire can be a wonderful, 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘤𝘦. It can also destruct. Use your fire wisely. Keep it in balance as best you can.
TCM Summer 2020 tips:
☀️ Drink: cucumber water
☀️ Eat: Watermelon slices
☀️ Avoid: greasy foods, excess hot spices, refined sugar
☀️ Enjoy tea: Peppermint, Green tea or Matcha
☀️ Find: Nature, shade, trees, flowers
☀️ Play: Activities that spark joy
☀️ Wear: A mask! They’re uncomfortable & hot - I get it! But we don’t want to be back on lockdown during the heat of summer. Work: together on this, so we can enjoy being outside and participating in (some) of the activities that we have long awaited for ✌️🙏🏽 😷
Wishing you a safe, healthy & joyful summer ❤️
