For what it’s worth, and in case it helps....
I want to share a few thoughts on how. This year has thrown so much at all of us. And it keeps bringing in the question 𝘏𝘖𝘞:
❔How do we deal with this?
❔How will I live with this?
❔How do I get through this?
❔How can I accomplish this?
❔How do I heal from this?
I wrote a cue card message to myself (swipe ➡️) at the start of 2020, one of my new year's mantras still posted above my desk. Little did I know the extent to which I would turn to it.
And now today’s thoughts on 𝘩𝘰𝘸, for what it’s worth, in case it helps...
𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝗻
It's a lot to take in sometimes.
I hear you.
(And now, the snow ❆)
What lies ahead.. we don't know.
We never have.
But especially now...
When I can't see the way through
I look within ↓
And I look up ↑
Guidance from both directions.
is the how.
The way = the how.
And the how is the heart.
The how = the heart.
And the breath
That links one moment to the next.
How we move
How we breath
into the unknown.
How we show up
For each other.
How we care
How we love
So we don't feel alone.
When we know so little else
This is the how
This is way.
Take care of your heart.
Take care of each other’s.
And if you're feeling alone, please reach out.

First day back running the community clinic @theherbalclinic ! 💛
So glad to be able to offer a percentage of my practice for drop-in, 𝘢𝘧𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘥𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘦 sessions. For more about community acupuncture, see my page on community acupuncture.
I’ll be running the shift on 𝗪𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝟮-𝟲𝗽𝗺.
We are doing a 𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘳𝘶𝘯 of 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲 𝗮 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝘁 (must be booked the day before).
See below for more details & COVID 19 protocols 😷 👇🏽
Posted @withregram • @theherbalclinic Our Community Acupuncture Clinic is back in business 🥳🥳 Starting Sept. 1st our acupuncture clinic will be opening back up with some modifications, of course. Our practitioners will be available for drop-in pay-what-you-can acupuncture from Tuesday to Friday.
Our NEW schedule is:
Tuesday 3-7pm with Emily
Wednesday 2-6pm with Laura
Thursday 3-7pm with Emily
Friday 12-5pm with Tehseen
Here's how we've modified our clinic practices to keep you safe:
⚠️Masks must be worn by everyone throughout the treatment and while inside the clinic
⚠️Spaces have been reduced to 5 patients at a time, these spaces are socially distanced and separated by room dividing screens
⚠️COVID screening questions will be asked when you arrive
⚠️Each space will be disinfected after each patient/visit
⚠️Hand sanitizer will be provided when you enter the store and in the clinic space
We ask that you stay home and schedule a virtual appointment if they have symptoms, have recently traveled, have been in contact with someone who has tested positive or have tested positive themselves since we cannot see you in-person.
We can't wait to see you!!! ❤️🧡💛 #theherbalclinicanddispensary
I am pausing my practice. For 2 weeks (for now)*.
I write this only hours after my last post. Because I can’t ignore the little voice. The little voice inside me that says ‘Do what you feel is right’. The little voice inside me that says ‘I’d rather be safe than sorry’. The little voice inside me that shouts ‘Bravo!’ when others I admire for their integrity are suspending their practices.
My little voice is not necessarily your little voice. And that is okay.
Despite spending countless hours reading countless articles debating best approaches to dealing with COVID-19 // Despite being someone who is generally most comfortable in the middle ground // Despite not being sure what's more contagious - the virus or the closures // Despite not being personally afraid of being sick (yet recognizing there are others at risk and wanting to ease the burden on our health care system) // Despite being self-employed and unsure of how to pay rent for the indefinite future... the little voice keeps saying, ‘Do it anyway.’
It guides me towards setting the example that feels most right for me, for now. My moral compass.
I will be contacting everyone with private appointments in the next two weeks to reschedule.
*In the interim I will be offering telemedicine for those who could benefit from herbal consultations, and/or self-administered guided acupressure sessions.
Thank you for your understanding. Be well, and I hope to see you before too long.
