Coconut, lavender & cacao nib fat bombs 💝
These little love bombs are beautiful, super romantic, and the lavender adds a natural calming effect for anxiety and stress.
Made these for my beau’s birthday last week and they were a hit!
🥥 1 cup coconut butter
🥥 1/2 cup coconut oil
🥥 1/4 cup raw honey
🥥 2 dashes stevia powder
🥥 3 dashes Himalayan salt
🥥 1/2 cup cacao nibs
🥥 1.5 tbsp lavender
1. In a small saucepan, simmer the coconut oil & lavender for 20min. Strain the lavender out and discard the lavender.
2. Stir well the coconut butter, lavender infused coconut oil, honey, stevia, salt.
3. Stir in cacao nibs.
4. Pour into a lined 8x8 inch pan or lined muffin tins.
5. Sprinkle with cacao nibs & lavender and refrigerate for 30min.

The Oct 16 new moon in Libra isn't your typical 🌚 Usually they present opportune times to set intentions or initiate new projects... Not this one.
This new moon is in a T-square formation, opposing Mars while squaring Saturn & Pluto. Aaaaaand during a Mercury retrograde🤦♀️

𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝘆 𝗔𝗙 𝗣𝘂𝗺𝗽𝗸𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗶𝗲 🥧
So healthy it doesn’t have to be Thanksgiving to eat it. (And it also makes a great breakfast 😋)
My dad has a sweet tooth and I made this for my him when he was recovering from surgery. He didn’t even notice it’s:
𝗚𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗻-𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲, 𝗦𝘂𝗴𝗮𝗿-𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲, 𝗗𝗮𝗶𝗿𝘆-𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲, 𝗘𝗴𝗴-𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲, 𝗜𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁-𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲! (jk on that last one, just seeing if you were paying attention 😉)
Instead, this recipe is:
𝘗𝘶𝘮𝘱𝘬𝘪𝘯-𝘧𝘶𝘭𝘭, 𝘧𝘭𝘢𝘷𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘧𝘶𝘭, 𝘫𝘰𝘺𝘧𝘶𝘭.
Ingredients & Directions for each:
🔸½ cup coconut flour
🔸½ cup almond flour
🔸¼ tsp sea salt
🔸1 dash of stevia (optional)
🔸3 flax eggs (or 2 large eggs) (3 tbsp flax seeds mixed with 6 tbsp water, let sit for 5-10 min until gelatinous)
🔸¼ cup coconut oil, slightly melted
1. Mix altogether, getting rid of any lumps.
2. In an 8 or 9 inch pie plate, press the dough evenly around the bottom & sides.
🔸1 + ½ cans of pumpkin puree (unsweetened)
🔸¼ cup maple syrup
🔸⅓ cup unsweetened plain almond milk
🔸3 tbsp arrowroot powder (or sorghum flour, or cornstarch)
🔸2 flax eggs (2 tbsp ground flax, mixed with 4 tbsp water, let sit for 5-10 min until gelatinous)
🔸2 tsp pumpkin pie spice (cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, clove)
🔸¼ tsp sea salt
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
2. Mix all the filling ingredients in a bowl. Pour the filling into the pie crust.
3. Bake for 60 - 70 min.
4. Let cool before eating

What is a Tiger Nut?
Contrary to the name, a tiger nut is tiger-free (phew!) and also nut-free (weird! But true!)
It is a root vegetable, a small tuber that tastes sweet and is packed with nutrients & fiber. 👊🏽
In one bowl, mix the following ingredients:
· 2 cups tigernut flour
· 1 cup almond flour (or you could just use 3 cups tigernut flour to make it nut free)
· 6 tbsp ground flax
· 2 tsp cinnamon
· 1/2 tsp salt
In a separate bowl, mix together:
· 2/3 mashed banana
· 1 cup blueberries
· 1 cup water
· 2/3 cup nut or seed butter of choice. I used a blend of coconut butter, almond butter & tahini - leftovers of what we had around. (You could use sunflower butter as per nut-free original recipe)
Mix the dry & wet ingredients together.
Divide into muffin tins or silicone muffin cups.
Makes approx 16 muffins.
I baked these for 32 min.

FULL MOON IN ARIES
Tomorrow’s full moon is FULL ON, and I've got two mantras to help you through it - keep reading 🔻!
Aries is a fire sign and rules the head. It's why you might be feeling like this right now: 🤯
Or... partially why. In addition:
Mars, a fiery planet that's retrograde in Aries right now, is squaring Saturn - MEANING: You want to go forward but you're being forced to slow down. It's like trying to hit the gas pedal with the brakes on. 🤦♀️
Inside the body, this stop and go energy inside inside us, from a Chinese medicine standpoint, stagnates the Liver qi - MEANING: it creates pent up frustration & heat which does all sorts of un-fun things to the body: headaches, muscle tension, sore necks, etc.
The energy has to go somewhere, and if it can't go where you want it to go today due to circumstances beyond your control, instead: do some cardio exercise, shout in your pillow, punch the air, cry, or dance like nobody's watching (even if they are) 💃🏼
And now... your MANTRAS:
1) “I check my ego at the gate."
2) “Patience...(aaaaand more patience)."
You may not love these mantras 🤣[I made no promises that this would feel good 😉]
If you're a human, you have an ego. It's not a bad thing. But an ego that's too big or two small isn't in highest service of yourself nor others. Having an honest and balanced relationship with the ego is what we’re especially called to do right now.
And transits aren't all 'bad'. Positive aspects of this one include:
It can spark ACTION. The urge to DO something - to work though some of the themes that have been plaguing you this last month.
And if you're someone who has a hard time speaking up for yourself (ie ego too small) then you might get that surge of energy to speak up or assert your boundaries.
Personally, I always feel so much better during full moons than new moons. With the moon the ruler of my cart, a full moon seems to give me a burst of creative energy that I love.
